Young Justice Season 3 (Outsiders) Jumps Back To 26 Episodes

Young Jusice New Animated Tv Series

Perhaps the biggest news out of the Young Justice panel is that season three has returned its episode count back to 26.

Season three’s increased episode count is a huge win for the show. One of the main constraints for season two, Invasion, was that the show was only given 20 episodes, which forced Weisman and Vietti to tell a tighter story than season one, which had 26. The higher episode count for season three means that the show will have more freedom to flesh out its characters.

The increased episode count isn’t the only thing giving Weisman and Vietti more freedom. Because Young Justice is moving from its ill-fated run on Cartoon Network to DC Entertainment’s upcoming digital service, it means that the Cartoon Network’s strict broadcast practices will no longer restrict the show’s direction and content. Vietti shared that the writers have a little more flex room to pursue more “adult themes and adult storylines,” which fits the show’s evolution.

Before sharing some cursory details about Outsiders, the showrunners took a moment to recognize all of the cosplayers in the audience. And there were many in attendance, from characters throughout seasons one and two.

One of Young Justice‘s themes has been the passage of time and the evolution of its characters, with the most visible example being the five-year time gap between the first two seasons. Vietti joked that since that time skip was such a huge success, they “decided” to do the same thing in real life — referencing the fact that by the time Outsiders returns in 2018, five years will have passed since the last season, Invasion, ended in 2013.

From left to right: Static, Kid Flash, Robin, Cassie Sandsmark, Spoiler, Blue Beetle, 13, Arrowette, Arsenal, and Beast Boy

Exclusively at the Comic-Con panel, Phil Bourassa shared his art team’s new designs for some returning characters, with some surprising choices. From left to right, we have Static (visibly aged), Bart Allen as the new Kid Flash (with a futuristic, almost RoboCop-style outfit), Tim Drake (still Robin, but now with his classic hood), Cassie SandsmarkStephanie Brown debuting as fan-favorite character Spoiler, Jaime Reyes as Blue Beetle, an entirely new character named 13, Cissie King-Jones debuting as Arrowette, Arsenal returning with some gear updates, and Garfield Logan (Beast Boy) rocking some new duds. The biggest reveals, of course, were the debuts of Arrowette and Spoiler. In season one’s “Insecurity,” Cissie King-Jones was only 9 years old when Green Arrow and Artemis saved her father from an assassination attempt. It seems that Artemis personally inspired Cissie to become Arrowette .

Stan Lee´s Daughter Sides with 🎬 Sony Over Disney in 🕷 ‘Spider-Man’ Split

While many fans have rallied behind Disney in the wake of reports that talks had broken down between the company and Sony over future Spider-Man films, at least one person is standing behind Sony — Stan Lee’s daughter.

In a statement to TMZ, Joan Lee said Marvel and Disney need to be “checked and balanced” as they seek total control of her father’s creations. Disney owns Marvel.

“Whether it’s Sony or someone else’s, the continued evolution of Stan’s characters and his legacy deserves multiple points of view,” she said. While legendary comic book writer Lee created the Spider-Man character for Marvel comics in the 1960s, Sony has owned the film rights to the character for about two decades.

If talks between the companies do not resume, it is likely that Spider-Man will no longer be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and that could be bad for both Sony and Marvel.

Lee seemed to support Sony. “When my father died, no one from Marvel or Disney reached out to me,” Lee said. “From day one, they have commoditized my father’s work and never shown him or his legacy any respect or decency. In the end, no one could have treated my father worse than Marvel and Disney’s executives.”

Representatives for Disney did not immediately respond to CNBC’s request for comment.

Apple Tv+📺 Said To Support Limited Offline Viewing, Restricted Multi-Device Streaming

Apple Tv Now In 4K

Apple TV+, the ad-free service that is aimed to offer original shows, movies, and documentaries to Apple customers, may provide limited offline viewing. Some code strings spotted in macOS Catalina have suggested that the Cupertino giant might not allow Apple TV+ users to download the available videos multiple times. This sounds similar to how Netflix restricts multiple downloads on its platform. The upcoming macOS version has also suggested that the Apple TV+ service could restrict multi-device streaming.

MacRumors reports that the code strings found in macOS Catalina suggested that Apple TV+ would imply limitations on the total number of downloads, downloads per show or movie, or the total number of times a show or movie can be downloaded.

Apple didn’t define offline viewing part while announcing the paid service at an event back in March, though it confirmed that it would allow users to download content offline.

Arrow: Stephen Amell Says Oliver’s Ending is What He Wanted for the Character

For the past seven seasons fans have watched Stephen Amell‘s Oliver Queen go on a journey that took him from a hood-wearing vigilante taking out those who failed Starling City to that of a full-blown hero who had not only succeeded at saving the city but who had emerged from the shadows to do so on Arrow. When the show returns this fall for its eighth and final season which contains only 10 episodes to be streamed, though, fans already know that the last chapter will see the end of the journey for Oliver. The Season 7 finale already revealed the hero dies in the end, but according to series star Amell, there are still some surprises that await — and Oliver’s ultimate ending is the one that he personally wants.

In an interview with TV Guide, Amell explained that Oliver’s ending on Arrow is what he wants, so much so that it’s something he himself pitched.

“It’s what I want,” Amell said. “I pitched it for a very long time. It’s what I want, but concurrently, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t surprises along the way. I was floored when I got the pitch for the crossover. I don’t see it coming — nobody sees it coming. It’s going to be so rad.”

The Season 7 finale Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) going into hiding after defeating the Ninth Circle. Quite a bit of time passed, and their daughter Mia was born, only for their new bit of domesticity to be shattered by the arrival of The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett).

As The Monitor explained, he was coming to collect on Oliver’s deal that he made during “Elseworlds”, where he bargained for the lives of Barry Allen and Kara Danvers. The Monitor revealed that in order to keep the universe at balance, Oliver would die in the coming “Crisis” — but that he needed to help try to help prevent more bloodshed in the event.

With “Crisis” being the biggest event for the Arrowverse yet, it positions Oliver to go out as a huge hero — and give Arrow the most consequences of the rest of the Arrowverse shows.

Worst Food For Your Brain

1. Trans Fats

The good news is that not all fats are bad for you. However, a particular kind of fat called trans fat does have a detrimental effect on the brain. Trans fats are found naturally in animal products including meat and dairy, but even these are not as problematic as the industrially produced trans fats that get pumped into all sorts of packaged foods.

Otherwise known as hydrogenated oil, people who eat a lot of trans fat in the form of margarine, store-bought baked goods, chips and crackers, frozen and canned meals, and creamy beverages are at a greater risk for Alzheimer’s and dementia. Studies have shown that high consumption of trans fats also leads to earlier cognitive decline, lower brain volume, and poorer memory.

2.Alcohol

It’s probably no surprise that alcohol can harm the brain, considering how much stupid stuff people tend to do under the influence. Getting tipsy every once in awhile probably won’t cause permanent damage, but alcoholism and bouts of binge drinking absolutely can.

Chronic consumption of alcohol tends to shrink the brain and disrupt the neurotransmitters that your brain uses to communicate. Alcoholics also often experience a vitamin B1 deficiency, which can lead to the development of Korsakoff’s syndrome. That syndrome is responsible for severe brain damage that causes memory loss, confusion, unsteadiness, and intermittent loss of eyesight.

3) Processed and Packaged Foods

Processed and packaged foods remove important nutrition from whole food and replace it with sugar, fat, and salt. This is our so-called Western diet, one which relies on convenience and fast foods over slow-cooked homemade meals. And we get it – people are busy and sometimes it just isn’t possible to make your own sauces, dressings, pastas, and baked goods.

However, it is important to cook with whole nutritious foods as often as you can swing it, because the Western diet is notorious for causing an accumulation of fat around the vital organs. This, in turn, is associated with damage to the brain tissue and a reduction in the brain’s volume. It may also cause disruptions to the blood-brain barrier, the membrane that is responsible for protecting the brain from harmful substances.

4) Refined Carbs

Refined carbohydrates are products made with processed grains. They may not necessarily taste sweet, but they break down into sugar in your body very quickly. That’s because the refining process strips all of the fiber and nutrition out of the original grain. A meal rich in refined carbs represents a high glycemic load that spikes your blood sugar.

That causes all the same issues as if you had eaten straight sugar, including memory impairment, inflammation, and a higher risk of developing dementia. Studies have shown that children who consume diets high in refined carbohydrates score lower on nonverbal intelligence tests. And elderly people who take in more than 58% of their daily calories in refined carbs have twice the risk of mental impairment and dementia than those who eat more whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.

5) Sugary Drinks

Sugary drinks like soda, sports drinks, energy drinks, and even fruit juice have little to no nutritional value. Regular consumption of sugary drinks can lead to a whole host of physical impairments, including type 2 diabeteshigh blood pressure, high cholesterol, and yes – Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.

A high intake of fructose, a mega-concentrated sweetener that’s found in many sugary drinks, has been shown to reduce learning ability, memory, overall brain function, and the formation of new neurons in the brain. It may also lead to increased inflammation in the brain, which negatively affects all types of brain function.

6) Fish High in Mercury

Fish in general is a healthy addition to your diet. It is low in saturated fat yet contains healthy omega-3 fatty acids as well as vitamin B12, zinc, iron, and magnesium. However, some fish is especially high in mercury, which is a heavy metal contaminant and neurological poison. Mercury stays stored in animal tissue (including human) for a long time.

Fish that are longer lived and predatory tend to have the highest concentration of mercury in their flesh. That’s because as long as they live, they are consuming other fish that contain lower levels of mercury. Over a lifetime, these fish can accumulate mercury levels of 1 million times the concentration in the water they swim in. It is best to avoid or seriously limit your consumption of tuna, swordfish, orange roughy, king mackerel, shark, and tilefish to prevent disruption of your brain’s neurotransmitters.

7) Aspartame

Unfortunately, it is not possible to avoid the harms of too much sugar by replacing it with an artificial sweetener – especially not aspartame. While producers of this sugar substitute swear that it is safe, several studies have linked aspartame to behavioral and cognitive problems. As a chemical stressor, it can cause deleterious effects on the ability to learn and regulate emotions.

In one study, just 8 days of a high-aspartame diet cause participants to score lower on mental tests and feel more irritable and depressed to boot. Another study revealed that people who drink a lot of diet soft drinks, which replace the sugar with artificial sweetener, have an increased risk of dementia or stroke. For now, the FDA says aspartame is safe, but also mandates warning labels on products that contain it.
